Teachers-5 Things to do before next school year

The School Year is over-Now What?

Once the kids are gone…don’t leave the building before you…

1.     Close your classroom door…take a deep breath…and think about what worked and what didn’t. Write it down.

Put it on the white board or in a journal…but do it before you leave while everything is fresh in your mind.
Now that you have it written down…you can …

2.     Recharge those batteries Shut Up and Dance… (ok…the song doesn’t really fit but its fun and it has a great beat!)…Reconnect with family…Have some fun! 

 You have plenty of time when you return to…

3.     Take out the list you made


reflect on what resources you will need. Should you  try to take  a class (maybe offered at your friendly neighborhood RESA?) or reach out to a colleague…maybe find  a helpful podcast like Teaching Learning Leading K12

(ok…yes I am advertising my podcast J) then it’s time to …

5.     Design Engaging activities to excite the kids …Get Creative...make that brain work...get those wonderful ideas and put them into action....

get ready to relive why you became a teacher in the first place….
